i get pretty excited when i am given the opportunity to photograph friends, and this session was no exception. victoria and neil are expecting at the end of this summer and i couldn't be more excited for them! the two are preparing for twin boys which will turn them from a family of 2 to 4! victoria chose the beautiful location of south beach in vero - a spot i have not been to for quite some time. with a thunderous storm in our background, we got lucky with some beautiful light contrasted by stormy skies. below are some favorites from the session. a big congrats goes out to the wilsons! xo

evie bloss | newborn

beautiful jamie had her baby girl, evie, recently! at three weeks in to their new life as a family of four, i took some pictures of the crew. between little grayson's silliness and lots of laughter, we had some fun getting the pictures below. evie, a sweet doll, slept for much of the session and when she was awake, she was taking everything in with her big blue eyes. a big congrats to the bloss family and thank you for always making my job enjoyable and fun!

krista + tyler | engagement, round island

i'm so looking forward to krista and tyler's wedding this fall in vero! i got the chance to get to know them a bit more during the engagement session at round island park and have to say what troopers these two are! pulling out of my street, i saw tyler's truck go by with two oversized kayaks handily strapped to the back. i thought to myself, eek! i hope they make it! luckily, everyone made it to the shoot safely and i was able to get a few shots of them enjoying one of their favorite activities while the sun set. looking forward to october when these two tie the knot!

i had the pleasure of meeting this little angel a few weeks ago. baby avery couldn't have been more sweet and content during the shoot. her mom and dad are fellow fsu graduates (go noles!) and it is so apparent how happy they are to welcome her into their lives. i am so excited for the family and wish them a big congrats. below are a few favorites from our session!

i first met katie and joe when i began dating my now husband, drew. he lived with joe in new york for a few years so we grew close to these two lovebirds over the years. during a recent visit back to the city, i got to photograph the newly engaged couple one sunday. it was a gorgeous spring day and i was pumped because the city isn't the worst backdrop there is...

what i loved most about doing this is the fun that was involved! well, at least for me, it was fun! i think that joe would reluctantly agree, it wasn't so bad...

all jokes aside, i am so happy for these two. they are the perfect balance for one another and just GOOD people. solid friends and always a fun time. their wedding is sure to be a blast. congratulations you guys! scooter rides and pinkberry for life. xo

clara | 1 year photos

i am so thankful for the new friendships that i have formed since moving back to vero from the city. i may not get to see tricia and stephen as much as i would like to, but being able to photograph them from engagement photos, to tricia's maternity shoot, to clara as a newborn and now, at 1 year, is truly special. so much can happen in a year and this family is a testament to that! baby clara is 1 now and she is just as much of a doll today as she was when i first met her. happy birthday, clara! (and congrats to mom and dad on making it through the first year of parenting!). xo

carolina + manuel | wedding at the bellewood plantation, vero beach

i am excited to share some photos from carolina and manuel's recent wedding in vero beach. the families were in such great spirits on this day and it was an honor to capture such a special occasion. the couple decided to have an intimate gathering of close friends and family at the beautiful bellewood plantation, and the day couldn't have been more perfect. from the homemade tortillas to the gorgeous flowers and cake, all of the details came together and made for gorgeous scenery. but the truly special moments were the more intimate ones of carolina's mom and sister giving their blessing as well as manuel's mom to her son. the emotion was high and it was touching to see. here are some favorites from the day and a big congrats to the newly married monge's!

happy 1 year to this cutie! i had fun taking these pics of little claire out west of town. despite the early evening mosquitos, claire played on her rocking horse and got introduced to bubbles for the first time! a big congrats to her mommy and daddy who are expecting baby number 2 this year as well! xo

lucy and daniel's wedding day was joyful, touching and beautiful. these two currently reside in australia and are avid adventurers. in fact, the day i met lucy she was on her way to meet with her brothers for some diving and explained that her fiancee, daniel, loves to show her new areas to explore and rock climb in Queensland. these two seem meant for one another and it was evident in their sweet way together. after meeting in college, followed by some long distance dating, the couple tied the knot in early january in front of close friends and family in port saint lucie. i was so happy to be a part of their day and wish these two the very best! congratulations lucy and daniel - you make a lovely match!

chelsea + nick | december wedding, vero beach

i had the pleasure of shooting chelsea and nick's wedding in vero beach last month. despite the rainy december day, the day was filled with love and friendship for these two. their daughter, hayden, was adorable and i couldn't help but capture her adventures during the ceremony...you can tell she loves her mommy and daddy! these two share a strong love and it was evident in the way they hugged one another tightly after their first kiss as husband and wife. chelsea mentioned to me early on that they are big fans of all things cinema (ie the batman themed cake!). so at the end of the night, we took a stroll to the old downtown theater. it seemed like an appropriate bon voyage for the newly married pair before they took off for a honeymoon the following day. a big congratulations to this loving couple and best wishes in your new marriage!

natalie + scott | engagement

happy new year, friends! to kick-start january, i am sharing a recent engagement session with natalie and scott. these two live in north carolina and are getting married this fall in vero. natalie - an avid florida girl with a knack for fishing - wanted to take some photos by the water so we kept close to the river. but it wasn't too long before we made our way to the park so their sweet dog could run around (he very patiently waited in the car before!). a big congrats to this sweet couple - i'm so excited for you both! x

a year in review | 2015

i am so thankful as i look back on this year. major things happened. i got married. i gained an adorable niece. i traveled to many places and watched as some of my favorite people united in marriage. this year was wonderful and as i look back on the photographs i had the opportunity to create, my heart feels full.

thank you to everyone who supported me - it means more than you can know! cheers to 2016 and hoping it is just as good as this year has been.

i love taking photos of my family - especially this little nugget of joy, stryker. even though he was throwing everything i placed in his tiny hands, it was adorable and i didn't mind. this little guy is experiencing christmas with wide eyes and constantly pointing to the tree, exclaiming "lights!". next year, he will have a little brother or sister which is just a lovely miracle in and of itself. (can't wait to photograph THAT little nugget!)

this family is just adorable. anna rae and case make such a sweet brother-sister duo and they were so excited to ride around on the little john deere gator. it was pouring rain that day but luckily the skies cleared enough for us to take some shots outdoors.

this was my second year taking holiday photos of the colontrelle family. they are tight knit, fun loving, and go with the flow. we started out early sunday morning taking photos around their neighborhood and finished in their front yard where the sprinklers unexpectedly turned on. as you will see below, little luca was overjoyed! happy holidays to this family and a special birthday shout-out to mama shelley!
