tomorrow is the big day for these two! i'm excited to be a part of andrea and derek's wedding day - especially as i look back on their engagement session from earlier this year. it should be a fun, beautiful celebration. cheers you two!
i first met emily when i photographed her sister's wedding last december. she and her two sisters are not only gorgeous girls on the outside but the inside as well. so when i was asked to capture her and tim's wedding (happening this weekend!), i was pumped! as you can see, emily and tim are very sweet towards one another and naturals in front of the camera - even if they think otherwise! this day was HOT HOT HOT, but that did not deter them from making the most of our time spent at mckee botanical gardens. i had a hard time narrowing down my favorites for this post - plenty of favorites to choose from. i'm so thrilled for their wedding day and all the goodness to come for them!
it is hard to believe that this little guy just turned 1! i remember taking his newborn photos like it was yesterday. but time flies, as we all know. brittany and andrew asked me to capture the happy little guy, (he is so happy!) and get some cake smash shots as well. he wasn't too sure about the birthday cake but it was adorable nonetheless!
a happy birthday to mason and a congrats to his parents on a successful first year!
earlier this summer, i woke up with the sun. it's not often i do this (!) but when i do, it is so rewarding. we were graced with the most gorgeous neon sunrise over the ocean and as we made our way to the beach, the light was a mix of soft, sometimes golden tones. what a treat! the adults sipped their coffees and the kiddos were naturally awake early, so everyone was such good sports smiling for the camera so early. this crew was on vacation from the mountains, so the beach setting was a bonus for pictures.
i loved being able to embrace the sunrise with them. it is something i certainly take for granted living on the east coast. here are some favorites below!
ps - if you are looking to book holiday family photos, weekend openings are filling up fast! weekdays are available but please reach out sooner rather than later and remember to take into account turnaround time + print time for holiday cards!
love photographing these two sisters! Lilly recently turned 1, so we went to one of my favorite spots in vero to take some pictures of her and Claire. the last time i captured these two, Lilly was just born - what a difference a year makes! the magic of documenting families and children each year can be realized when i look back on the previous sessions i have done. it is so rewarding to think about how the photos will live on for years to come. here are some favorites from our session.
let me first start off by saying...this was fun! it was a new type of shoot for me to do, and i definitely want to do more.
morgan was gifted a "generations" session from my sister at her baby shower when she was pregnant with her youngest, kit. however, life got busy! so there was some back and forth on setting a date. when we finally did decide (about a year later!), morgan came up with the idea of having a tea party, which was just perfect. what better way to capture the three generations of females?
with an heirloom tea set, some delicious looking macarons, a bowl of fresh cherries and tea, of course, the hour was spent capturing the interactions of adorable clover and kit with their mom and grandmother.
there is something so special about being able to photograph a session such as this. my hope is that when the girls become older, they can look back on this special day they shared with their mom and grandma and cherish it. some highlights include clovers LOVE for the cherries (i just went had to go out and buy some myself afterwards because she was so convincing of their delicious-ness!), kit's adorable smile after waking up from her nap, and the couch lovin' session at the end. below are my favorites!
this post is long overdue! taylor and alex were married this past may at bent pine golf club in vero beach, florida. the two had family and friends gather together over the long memorial day weekend to celebrate, beginning with a rehearsal dinner on thursday, festivities on friday and the big day on saturday.
while everything was gorgeous and a joy to photograph, the moments that stick out the most are scattered throughout the day. for example: taylor and her bridesmaids giddily taking off in golf carts on the way to the ceremony; the look on alex's face when he saw his bride for the first time that day (see below!); the speeches that had everyone in the room in tears; and then of course the final song played by the band - an appropriately chosen "shout" for everyone to go nuts over.
it was a heartfelt, energetic, good time and i am so honored to have been able to capture it all. below are some favorites from the day and a special shout out to the creative vendors responsible for putting it all together. a big congrats to mr. & mrs. brown!
Venue: Bent Pine Golf Club | Florist: Lara's Theme | Rentals & Decor: Simple Rustic | Makeup: Cindy Goetz | Hair: Lindsey Naffziger | Band: The Blues Factor | Cake: Chef Sara from Bent Pine Golf Club | Wedding Dress: Alexandra Grecco | Stationary: created by the bride
i am finally sharing some engagement photos from ben and alissa's session this past january! these two get hitched next week in park city, utah and i am so excited for the two of them. they are such sweet souls and i can't wait to celebrate with them so soon. congrats, guys!
welcoming to the world, molly boyle! tricia and stephen are the proud parents of two beautiful girls now. they kept the sex a surprise (so awesome!) and welcomed the doll you see below. she was as precious as she looks honestly - sleepy and sweet. i think her older sister, clara, has a lot to look forward to in having a lifetime buddy and partner in crime. congrats to the family of 4 - couldn't be happier for you guys!
ps. a little shout-out to eight pepperberries who created the sign you see hanging from the nursery wall. how cute? :)
i really don't know why it has taken me so long to blog these engagement photos of sherri & mike. they are a gorgeous couple and it was such a fun shoot!
the photos were taken earlier in the year at the vero beach marina, followed by the beach at sunset. we totally lucked out that evening with the most beautiful skies, and just all around nice weather. (come back, winter temps!) these two get hitched later this year, so a big congrats to the future mr. & mrs!
welcome to the world, baby lachlan! it was a pleasure taking this little guy's newborn photos. he is a sweet, sleepy one and quite adorable. his older sister, emerson, joined for a couple of shots, and is equally lovable! a big congrats to the proud parents again!
blue eyes. copper locks. porcelain skin. doll babies.
recently got to squeeze these two nieces and snap some pictures of them. my heart! love these girls. ruby is 6 months and margaux is 2 years old. time flies - here are some favorites!
as a father's day gift, my sister asked for me to take some photos of the boys at a local citrus farm in vero beach. for a couple of weeks in a row, countryside citrus offered guests to stop by and pick fresh flowers from their garden. despite the florida heat, the little guys were such good sports and took in all the buzzing bees, colorful flowers and TRACTORS! the highlight may have been the delicious ice cream they offer - such a summertime treat! here are some favorites!
meet mckenzie! this little one debuted recently and just so happens to share a birthday with her mama! it is always special to capture a newborn in his or her first few days, but this was especially joyful for me as i was also able to photograph her older brother when he was born. what a treat! congrats to matt, melissa and beckett on welcoming the fourth member of their tribe. xo
ummm...where to begin? this little guy, reed, is adorable! as well as the whole family :)
reed recently turned 1 year old, so i took some photos of him with the family at Riverside Park. these are some of my favorites from our session!
i have seen pia go from an itty-bitty newborn, to a giggling, nearly walking, 1 year old! congrats to the beautiful schwiering family. love taking your photos, as always. here are some favorites! xo
i have had the pleasure of seeing Melissa in her first and second pregnancies; welcome baby Beckett to the world and now, a little girl. So happy for this family of 4! I wanted to share some favorites from our shoot in May and I am so looking forward to meeting Mckenzie!
it's taylor and alex's wedding week and i am so excited to capture their nuptials this weekend. i wanted to share some favorites from their engagement session earlier this year! it was one of those super windy beach days so we managed to get a few shots in before heading to their new abode. lots of great things to come for these two, congrats to the future mr. & mrs. brown!
meet baby james. cutie. pie.
i met sam through book club (what, what?!) and am so happy for her and her husband who welcomed this little bundle of joy recently. we kept it simple with the props and the goal was to just capture him in his most comfortable state: sleeping! one of my favorites though is his zoolander pose, which can be seen below. enjoy and congrats to the beautiful family!
