introducing baby cora! | newborn

a lot has changed in my world recently. my husband and i welcomed a sweet baby girl in april, and it is safe to say she has taken our hearts. (along with our sleep!)

introducing cora jane bottalico. i was able to sneak some pictures of her at 13 days old and again at 31 days. she surprises us daily with her growth and changes! i apologize in advance for the amount of photos to come of her in the future, but i can't help myself! a special thank you to my mom, marla, who very generously stepped behind the lens for some pictures of the three of us.

kacie + josh's wedding | waldo's secret garden, vero beach

Kacie and Josh first met while she was bartending in downtown Jensen Beach. Josh, a commercial diver, was traveling a lot at the time but would always stop in for a drink and share stories with Kacie. She noted he was the shy one, but over time the two got to know one another a bit better, and went on their first real date. Time and distance kept them for developing a relationship, but as fate would have it, the two were brought back together a couple of years later and they picked up right where they left off. Josh proposed to Kacie within a year and the two share a beautiful little girl together named Luna.

They decided to get married at Waldo's Secret Garden in Vero Beach - which is a venue Kacie just simply fell in love with. Set against the brightly colored floral arch, the two exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony with close friends and family. Luna served as the flower girl - a special moment since Kacie was the flower girl in her parent's wedding. Kacie's best friend from high school was the officiant, and their puppy Bosley served as ring bearer. On a perfect March day, it was a beautiful celebration and I wish this family only the best for their future together. Congratulations to the newlyweds!

emerson's tea party | generational session

when my close girlfriend barb approached me about capturing her niece's 3 year old birthday party, i was - of, course - down. but, then she told me she wanted to make it a tea party theme with her sister, mom, grandma and emerson's sister. how could i resist that?!

it was a generational celebration where everyone got dressed in their finest "princess" gear for little emmie. with sparkling tiaras, pb&j's, cupcakes and lots of tea, the beautiful ladies cheers'ed to emerson turning 3 years old. she was ecstatic and loved dressing up as her favorite princess (elsa, duh!). emerson got to dance with grandma, sip on some sugary apple juice from her very own teacup and be adored and loved by all of the closest females in her life.

i imagine she will look back at these photos years from now and see just how special this little gathering was. the chance to have a moment with your mom and sister, aunt, grandma and great-grandma all in one place. what a 'happy' birthday, indeed.

baby axel | newborn

why it has taken me so long to post these newborn photos...i do not know. but, nonetheless, i present to you the sweetest little one: axel. this baby was a dream to photograph! alert, but with not a peep made. he truly made my job easy. his parents did too! a big congrats to andrea and buster on their sweet son. i loved taking these and i am sure he has grown quite a bit in the past couple of months!

dana grace + joseph | vero beach wedding

dana grace and joseph married in early january, on the beach in vero. the location of the ceremony had to be altered at the last minute due to the new church not being open in time...but luckily the beautiful sandy beach and atlantic ocean was just a short walk away. guests gathered on what was an extremely chilly day for florida, but the sun was shining and the mood was jovial as everyone gathered to witness dana and joe exchange vows.

upon meeting dana, i was struck by her beauty and welcoming smile, but it was her upbeat spirit and fun-loving personality that stuck out in the end. i imagine that is what captivated her husband, joe, when they first met in college in michigan. the two connected the old fashioned way, via a setup made through mutual friends, and they hit it off. not only were both from warm climates (dana from florida and joe from hawaii), they shared an instant connection the night they met.

fast forward to 2018, and the two made it official! with a group prayer led by their pastor, they were surrounded by their closest friends and family. everyone braved the chilly weather that evening under a tent and kept warm by dancing and jumping around like kids! it was a beautiful day and i'm so happy for these two as they begin their new life together in indiana. best wishes to the chasen's!

baby william | newborn

meet baby william. he arrived a little earlier than expected, but is a healthy little guy! it was so great capturing his newborn photos and seeing allison and kyle with their first. i must say they are handling parenthood like champs as far as i can tell! many congrats to you guys on becoming a family of three!

allison + chris' wedding | bellewood plantation, vero beach

allison & chris married this past december at bellewood plantation in vero beach, florida. their wedding day was picture perfect, and so beautiful to capture. allison is the type of gal whose smile reaches her eyes and chris is the type of guy who simply loves to goof around. however, he was all tears when he saw allison for the first time that day as she walked down the aisle with her dad. these two truly seem to be a match for each other, and i wish them all the best in their future as husband and wife! congratulations to the Massey's!

emmarose | newborn

i have been holding out on sharing these newborn photos of EmmaRose, but i can't any longer! she is a beauty just like her mama. i have known Leslie since we were little dancers, and so it was a joy to be able to capture her growing family. with three girls and a boy (same combo i grew up with!), i know that this family has so much to look forward to. i am so happy for you guys and want to wish you another big congrats on welcoming another beautiful baby into the world! xo

natalie's maternity | vero beach

it is always special when i get to take photos of friends, but this was especially true with natalie and joey. we are both due with our first bambinos this spring (our due dates are 3 weeks apart!), so we have gone through this wonderful journey somewhat together.

these two are expecting a little girl in march, and will make such loving and awesome parents. i am thrilled for this family and what better way to express my excitement for them than with photos?! here are some favorites i took recently in our beautiful town.

andrea + derek's wedding | bent pine golf club, vero beach

it is the week of love with valentine's day around the corner, so i am finally getting around to sharing some more of the fall/winter weddings i had the honor of photographing.

first up, andrea and derek. the two wed last november in vero beach, fl. their ceremony and reception was held at bent pine golf club, on one of those beautiful, florida "winter" days with clear skies and the perfect temperature. derek and andrea originally met in college in ny, but reconnected when they were living in florida post college. the two share a love of sports, are sneaker addicts and love a good time! guests from the northeast flew in for the celebrations and it was a wonderful day. congratulations to mr. and mrs. card!

emily + tim's wedding | magnolia manor, vero beach

Emily & Tim's wedding plans got an unexpected twist when Hurricane Irma came through Florida last September. The two were set to be married at the pavilions at Riverside Park, but the storm caused too much damage and they had to make a change of venue plan in the span of two months. By luck, Magnolia Manor in Vero Beach just so happened to be open the weekend of their wedding date in early November. It couldn't have been a more beautiful day or ceremony. It is funny how things just work out sometimes.

I was so excited when Emily asked me to capture her and Tim's wedding day. Just a year before, I met her while I was taking photos of her sister, Hayley's, wedding. Emily and Tim just so happened to meet on Valentine's Day in what seems to have been a love at first sight moment. In Emily's words "I walked in and Tim was the first face I saw. Everything around me went silent". Fast forward a year and a half, and the two became engaged.

Emily and Tim wed on November 3rd, exchanging vows in front of their nearest and dearest. Guests enjoyed a margarita bar and tacos for dinner and lots of dancing into the night. It was a beautiful wedding and I had a little trouble narrowing down the images to share. Below are some favorites. A special congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Vold!

corr family | holiday 2017

another favorite family i get to do every year...my sis, brother-in-law and the boys. stryker and chase have an endless supply of facial expressions that i can't seem to ever capture all of them. chase mean mugs but also breaks out into the most delicious smile and is just one little teddy bear. stryker has this mischievous, delightful smile and giggle that gets me every time. it's just the best being an aunt and so i enjoy every chance i get to take their pictures. they may not enjoy it AS much as i do, but nonetheless. ha!

aside from being photogenic (i mean, i am bias, but c'mon) - these guys are just a truly lovable bunch. and i put in some "real-real" photos too (i.e. that black and white one with the true feelings being felt towards the end of the shoot) because every time, no matter what, i get some good bloopers! below, as always, are my favorites from the session. xo

fetzer family | holiday 2017

this was my fourth year taking the fetzer family holiday photos! i can't believe how fast time flies. we headed out west of town for the shoot and enjoyed some beautiful florida weather. case and anna rae are so fun to photograph because a) they are adorable and b) they don't mind sharing a few hugs and goofing around for photos. below are some favorites from our annual holiday shoot!

kolshak family | holiday 2017

today's family is near and dear to my heart, because it is my family. my sister, brother-in-law, and their two daughters snuck in a little session while they were in vero for thanksgiving. i am bias, but i just adore my nieces, margaux and ruby. they are sweet and independent little firecrackers, and i just love them so. here are some favorites from the shoot - we did a little something different than my usual outdoors at the beach or park photos!

kazmerowski family | holiday 2017

this week i will be sharing some of the family holiday sessions i have been keeping busy with this season! first up, the kazmerowski family. how cute are these little blondies?! we had a fun time taking pictures on a gorgeous vero beach day. it is always more fun when the kiddos get to run free and i can just capture their personalities and spirit. i think they had a good time being playful in front of the camera - here are a few favorites!

andrea + derek | engagement

tomorrow is the big day for these two! i'm excited to be a part of andrea and derek's wedding day - especially as i look back on their engagement session from earlier this year. it should be a fun, beautiful celebration. cheers you two!

emily + tim | engagement, mckee botanical gardens

i first met emily when i photographed her sister's wedding last december. she and her two sisters are not only gorgeous girls on the outside but the inside as well. so when i was asked to capture her and tim's wedding (happening this weekend!), i was pumped! as you can see, emily and tim are very sweet towards one another and naturals in front of the camera - even if they think otherwise! this day was HOT HOT HOT, but that did not deter them from making the most of our time spent at mckee botanical gardens. i had a hard time narrowing down my favorites for this post - plenty of favorites to choose from. i'm so thrilled for their wedding day and all the goodness to come for them!

mason's 1 year | cake smash, vero beach

it is hard to believe that this little guy just turned 1! i remember taking his newborn photos like it was yesterday. but time flies, as we all know. brittany and andrew asked me to capture the happy little guy, (he is so happy!) and get some cake smash shots as well. he wasn't too sure about the birthday cake but it was adorable nonetheless!

family sunrise session | vero beach, florida

earlier this summer, i woke up with the sun. it's not often i do this (!) but when i do, it is so rewarding. we were graced with the most gorgeous neon sunrise over the ocean and as we made our way to the beach, the light was a mix of soft, sometimes golden tones. what a treat! the adults sipped their coffees and the kiddos were naturally awake early, so everyone was such good sports smiling for the camera so early. this crew was on vacation from the mountains, so the beach setting was a bonus for pictures.

i loved being able to embrace the sunrise with them. it is something i certainly take for granted living on the east coast. here are some favorites below!

love photographing these two sisters! Lilly recently turned 1, so we went to one of my favorite spots in vero to take some pictures of her and Claire. the last time i captured these two, Lilly was just born - what a difference a year makes! the magic of documenting families and children each year can be realized when i look back on the previous sessions i have done. it is so rewarding to think about how the photos will live on for years to come. here are some favorites from our session.
